The oldest from Riedls

The oldest from history of the kin.

It was learn from the oldest extant archival documents,Roman Catholic Registers from the area of Šumvald ( from 1655) and Nová Hradeèná (from 1652) that kin of Riedl was in this area demonstrably in the 17th century. It means that the oldest ancesstor Martin was born before 1600.

In Šumvald was christened Thomas 30th June 1657(this is the oldest written record about surname Riedl). He was the son of Ondøej and Mariana Riedl.Mariana married Blažej Krejèí on 7th January 1666 (the first written record about Riedl in the main family line),in 1689 was in Šumvald christened Tobiáš.Parents of him were Matìj and Mariana Riedl. The surname Riedl is in this time popular in other villages, too. In which relationships these Riedls were is not possible to find out bacause of lack of archival documents. The huge amount of Riedls can be also seen from the fact that this kin was in the german speaking area from Middle age or in the time of colonozation in the 13th and 14th century moved to german countries.

We are interested in fate of Riedl from Hradec who are demonstrably ancesstors of the rich branched kin in Šumvald and its descendants are living till nowadays.

Once upon a time...

The first documented member of the Riedl's kin in Hradec was Martin Riedl. He was living 1595 – 1665.His grandson Jiøí Riedl (1648 - 1718) got married to Šumvald 21st September 1681 and he founded ? living till nowadays. According to the chronicle in Šumvald Jiøí Riedl had been living in the estate n.40 which he bought from Vávra Truska in 1687. Homestead No.40 was in the Riedl's owning from 1687 to 1910 when it was sold by Jan Riedl to family Wiedermann and he moved to America(Cansas,Vichtia).During my searching I found out one more family which moved to America in 1877 and emigrated to Cansas-it's sign as A01.

Branches of Ondøej Riedl and Martin Riedl probably died off in the 18th century or maybe there are not enough information which would show other sequences.

Riedls who were living in Šumvald and are living till nowadays are descendants of Martin Riedl from Hradec.
